GARDEN WORKBEES Meet new friends and learn about ecological gardening! Get your hands dirty with us every Thursday evening from 5-8 pm, starting in early May. Each workbee will include a 10-20 minute mini-workshop on a different aspect of sustainable gardening, including soil assessment, natural pest care and companion planting.
Workshops and Workbees take place at the Eglinton Park Heritage Community Garden (located behind the North Toronto Memorial Community Centre at 200 Eglinton Ave. West, a 5 minute walk from Eglinton Subway Station). In the event of rain, we will move inside to the community centre. For more information contact TGC at 416-781-7663 or email

TRAIN-THE-THE TRAINER MANUAL
In 2007, Toronto Green Communitys Eco-Gardening Train-the-trainer manual was distributed free-of-charge to over 50 community groups. The Train-the-trainer manual includes 5 training modules that can each be conducted as 2-3 hour workshops. Topics include: Eco-Gardening Basics, Native Plant Gardening, Troubleshooting Pests and Weeds Naturally, Water-Friendly Gardens and Landscapes and Natural Tree Care.
Each module contains everything a facilitator needs to conduct their own workshops, such as detailed trainer notes, training aids, presentation slides and exercise sheets. Click here to be directed to the Train the Trainer page.
